January 2010
To contrast my school misadventures, #10yearsago I was working for the second tech startup I helped found. Both still going strong today.
Nicely settled into my parents’ house, watching football & eating grilled cheese.
As I’m starting to fade and might pass out, an early Happy New Year to everyone! Stay safe and thanks for making Twitter so fun & useful.
Well, early for the US. Everyone else, see you in 2010 when I get there.
Ugh. Bay Bridge and we left the old EZ-Pass at home. Been creeping along for 20 minutes already.
December 2009
Just landed at BWI. Now to get a car and drive for two hours. What a big-ass continent.
We were seriously considering getting a yurt for a house about a year ago. Still talking about maybe someday getting some coastal land.
I’m recalling that I wasn’t in Missouri for the 2000 rollover. Must have headed back to NY after the holidays, because I was at home.
Beautiful snow-capped peaks coming into Denver. Hope my pics came out ok. Everyday is a new learning experience lately.
I’m really at my worst when I’m on little sleep. I just can’t handle it.
#10yearsago I was with “home” with my folks in Missouri, gearing up for one final stab at finishing college back in NY. Didn’t happen.

I need to do some more reflection, but man, 2009 was awesome. Settled into a new coast, great travel, fun & fulfilling work.

Nothing new or unusual with PDX airport security. And 4am is a great time to do it. Well, in some ways.
Free upgrade to Economy Plus for the first leg and exit row for the second. It’ll be a day of poor man’s First Class.
Ugh. — at PDX Portland International http://gowal.la/s/66X
Time for bed. Up in 2.5 hours. Ugh.
Packing for a delayed holiday. Headed to the East Coast tomorrow. Visiting both sets of parents (MD & CT). Commence digital hobo mode.
OH: “Thanks to you pushing your cheap wine, another set of parents became alcoholics, forcing their 18-year-old daughter to be a stripper.”
OH: “Watch out, she’s from Newport and she can fillet a 200-pound tuna.” “Dude, that’s really hot.”
Bertie Lou’s is an OH goldmine. Helped a guy fill Shakespeare on his crossword while he told me about all the drugs he’s doing on New Years.
“Year (of “Week of Year”), used in ISO year-week calendar. May differ from calendar year.” Not awesome.
Whoops. This probably won’t end well. I went to bed last night at the same time I have to get up tomorrow. Er, tonight.
http://twitpic.com/vx05v - Snowman & snowdog.
http://twitpic.com/vwzhz - Tabletop snowman.
http://twitpic.com/vx0ke - Sorry for the influx of pics, but what the hell happened here?
I have beheld it, and it is good. Also, it has a nice animation curve.
Looks like we’re out on the roads tonight. The shower curtains both disintegrated in the washer. Have not before. Crappy.
Doing some pretty awesome iPhone coding right now. Probably the most complex I’ve done yet. #vague #almostthere
While I love driving in winter weather, it terrifies me how many idgits are out there tonight.
Got the light I was looking for, what with all the snow out. If it stops, I might take a trek out for some photos.
20+ year-old cell phone encryption cracked. “Mr Nohl’s work would be “highly illegal” in the UK and many other countries” http://is.gd/5FYbz
OH: “Last night I dreamed that evil computer gnomes were cutting down the forest that was my hard drive.” “Maybe they were cleaning it?”
Trying to enjoy my pot of tea… 20 minutes into sitting next to what sounds like an Old Ladies Discuss Their Dogs’ Peeing Problems Meetup.
I’d be curious if any folks in Portland who do @dailyshoot are able to find a shadow today. #dismal #grey
http://twitpic.com/vs30k - Sure, that’s your real name. #Baggins

Huh. http://firstfollower.com says my first Twitter follower was @schwa. Makes sense; I got on for reasons of Mac dev & @c4.
